Cleopatra Victoria, MA, MFT, is a psychotherapist in private practice in San Francisco
with a specialty in EAP and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing work. She's worked for
UCSF's Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute and did her training at The City and
County of San Francisco Employee Assistance Program , where she provided CISD
counseling to United Airlines' employees and customers during 911.
Ms. Victoria has provided hundreds of hours of CISDs, management consultations,and
individual counseling sessions as a provider for EAPs including Ceridian, MHN,
Pacificare, Value Options, Aetna, Compsych, Claremont , Crisis Care Network, EAP
Consultants, Sutter, Health Resources, and others. These assignments have included
suicides, robbery, accidental deaths, reorganizations, and layoffs. CISD client
companies include Bayer, Hewlett Packard, Genentech, State Farm,Shutterfly, Price
Waterhouse, Southwest Airlines, Wells Fargo, US Bank,Citibank, Longs, San
Francisco Zoo, Blockbuster, Bear Sterns, Best Buy,and Port of Oakland .
She's been trained in Disaster Aviation Response through Crisis Care Network, and in
Disaster Mental Health through the American Red Cross, and is an official "first
responder" for bank robberies.
She's served for 7 years on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Society
for Psychoanalytic Psychology, a division of the American Psychological Association,
and was previously on the Public Information committee at Psychoanalytic Institute
of Northern California. She serves as Editor of IMPULSE, a 2000-circulation, online
Northern California Psychoanalytic newsletter and is active in the San Francisco
Employee Assistance Association.
